A little about me...
Hello, I’m Mary Anne Sá, an artist and surface pattern designer focused on mixed media techniques applied to my creations. I have been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember and had a ceramics and sculpture studio for many years—alongside my corporate career as a journalist, advertiser, and public relations professional.
My passion for pattern design, which was already evident in my watercolor and acrylic paintings on canvas and other materials, led me to pursue a postgraduate degree in Innovation and Technology in Surface Pattern Design at SENAI/CETIQT, a leading institution in this field in Brazil.
After completing my postgraduate studies, I dedicated myself to refining my techniques through continuous learning, something I still do today. By the end of 2023, I was finally able to step away from other professional activities to fully immerse myself in the world of pattern design.
I currently live between Rio de Janeiro and Visconde de Mauá, a tourist region in the Serra da Mantiqueira mountains. These locations—between the sea and the mountains—are a constant source of inspiration and reflect my restless and creative nature.
